The only professional graduate school in the country to consecutively secure BK21 funding for all four phases
The Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science, Multimedia & Film at Chung-Ang University was opened in 1999 under the BrainKorea 21 (BK21) specialized graduate school support project with the goal of converging imaging engineering and visual arts. As the only graduate school in Korea that has been carrying out the BK21 project for the past 20 consecutive years, including the fourth phase of BK21 in 2022, it has successfully operated the cutting-edge video content business to reach where it is today.
In the process, it has made remarkable progress, graduating 328 PhDs and 1,334 master's and production masters to date.

Intensive research and education by 20 full-time Professors
Unlike general graduate schools, which have a minimum number of full-time Professors, the Graduate School has 20 full-time Professors. The Graduate School offers a variety of majors and specializations, including ‘AI Imaging’, ‘AI Content’, ‘Technology Art’, ‘Film&Media Production’, ‘Film, Animation & Media Studies’, ‘OTT Content Planning/Policy/Business’, ‘Immersive Media/Animation Content’, ‘Entertainment Technology’, ‘Creative Masters’, and ‘Digital/Scientific Photography’.
